I agree this is a great shot for the candid photo contest.

The utilization of the dark green background really makes the pony and people stand out, also the colors.

The pony seems to take it all in stride as it grazes the grass.

What a pleasant scene! Great angle showing the eye of the horse and the facial expression of the little girl while petting it. You're in the right place and time catching a scene like this. Well captured and well framed. A great bonding remembrance for the Mom and her daughter.
