Moses, I am glad you enjoyed the orbs. Each one is different and they just float around. Thank you for the wonderful review and rating. It is well appreciated. Ray

Silent bubbles in the night are drifting who knows where? If I were you I would watch out! Who knows what these orbs bear! A little poem for your bubbles Ray! They struck me as bubbles mysteriously floating across the sky on a moonless night. I'm already thinking in Halloween mode so my thoughts came across that way! Hope you like my interpretation. Very cool and different! :o) Nancy

This is absolutely exquisitely and expertly crafted.
Bubbles are not always the easiest of creations but you executed these in such a pretty and colourful manner.

Very interesting, Mr. Gordon. :)
Have you ever seen unusual orbs show up around particular people in a digital photograph? Some I know are caused by dust or light but I do believe there are spiritual influences that emerge as well. My daughter often has one in pics I take if her.
Anyway, I know that's not a "review", just thoughts your creation triggered.
Now for your piece:
I'm not super fond of the grey background but that just my preference.
The different colors make for an interesting look and I also think of bubbles. Spheres are fun to create when you finally realize how easy they are. Shadows are everything!
Happy weekend!

It looks like the orbs in the painting have come to life, gracefully weaving through the canvas. Each orb tells a celestial tale, captivating the viewer with its otherworldly journey. Interesting artwork indeed!

A good looking image posted here! Your fine and appropriate composition suggests to me that planets are on the move up there in outer space. Textures, colours and tones are good. Nicely painted!

I really love this art work Ray. You've been so skilled at producing almost a 3D effect here. The orbs look like they could float right off the page. Fabulous use of colour, the golden one in the bottom corner gives the eye somewhere to rest and I don't know how you achieved the iridescent, translucent appearance to them but it's just so darned clever! It reminds me of the soapy liquid bubbles my kids used to play with, blowing them into the air or waving the wand. I wish I had a 6 left for this amazing work. Here's a virtual 10. Bravo!

Christine, thank you so much for your wonderful review. The secret is a thin wash of color over what you want to show. Then High lights. I am so glad you enjoyed it. Ray

Cool,Ray!
"Orbs' used to be all the rage, especially when digital photography was new and people claimed to be seeing them ( and quickly proclaiming them to be 'ghosts' ) in just about any photo of an 'unusual' location. ( like a cemetery,an old house,
etc. )
As Druid and a Demonologist I have different ideas regarding the nature of Orbs which I won't get into here on FAR but I will say that I think this is a great acrylic creation and I'm enjoying it very much!
'Good Show',my friend!

Sean Thank you for you in depth review. I remember that happening to my Rolleiflex, during the rewind process, I would open the camera before fully rewinding and I would wind up with light glare. Also when you shot into the sun the bright orbs are present, a cool effect. I am so glad you enjoy it. Ray
