For someone who doesn't like abstract, you are pulling me to the other side. OMG, you are getting all of my 6 stars. I want to go to this pond and sit with my feet dangling in the water and thinking I might be on an acid trip. This is amazing and beautiful. I love your style, and believe me, I am critical. The longer I look at this the more I see!! At first, I saw thick tangled brush and woods with sunlight penetrating deeper and deeper into it. Then the shoreline appeared, and I could see the reflection of the forest on the water, giving the painting real depth and dimension. I believe the sign of true art is when the artists vision comes into your view the longer you look at it. You have really accomplished that in this composition!!

I believe the sign of true art is when the artists vision comes into your view the longer you look at it. You have really accomplished that in this composition!!

I am glad that you put that rock there to seperate the colors and I can now see the pond. I really like the many colors here and the way it takes up the whole frame, there again I don't know that much about this kind of art but I really like it. JackJr, thank you for this wonderful review and rating. What I do is create an illusion of a landscape, that is colorful and that is pleasing to me. This painting exists only in my mind, that rock you mentioned is the pivotal point, easily recognizable but essential. I am so glad you enjoy it. Ray

This piece has a lot of dimension. As I zoom in, I see more and more what looks like multiple layers of images. I see trees and leaves and rock formations with water raining down from their cliffs. The skillful application of color and well placed lines allows the scene to unfold like a secret garden in the forest. Really beautiful.

The excepted rating norm for the site is 5 if you like it and 6 if you really like it or love it. the ratings add up to your individual ranking. If you give any thing below a 5 it will degrade the artists ranking anything above a 5 will increase it. Then there is the review, where you tell the artist what you like and why, or things that you personally think will help in future presentations.
