What a wonderful treat to have a fox visit! I love foxes but have never managed to take a photo of one, so well done you!
I suspect this was a very quick shot you grabbed before he ran off. But had you had time you can often a better shot if you get down to the animal's level (same goes for kids) - but I expect in this case he would have buggered off sharpish the minute you crouched down! Lol

Oh my goodness Brian! I've never seen a fox so close up like that. It must be so used to people and their easy food source. There's something that I find so beautiful about these animals (I know they cause chaos amongst chickens but they're just so darned pretty!) A wonderful capture here with very good clarity - look at that lovely amber eye and those whiskers ! I really enjoyed seeing this today. Alas, I'm out of sixes.

What a nice remembrance from your holiday. I will be excited to find this one, even though the locals may thought this is a regular guest in this area. Just for presentation purposes, I will brush off a bit of the foreground especially that lower left corner and one dark spot on that right hand side. Just a thought, to clean it a bit.
