It is a lovely-colored-duck in its black and white. But it is difficult to discern which is from the duck and which from the reflections on the white oar-like extending.

A beautiful picture of this Tufted duck ~ Aythya fuligula, a drake with black plumage, white flanks, yellow eye and blue-grey bill & when breeding you can see it's long crest hanging behind it's head or raised. The dappled sunlight & the reflections on the lake surrounding him are an added bonus. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
