Nice entry for this contest. I like your description of this being a baby butterfly!

The composition is eye catching with the caterpillar being upside down (I think).
The stripes stand out very well against the soft background. Well done.

The caterpillar looks quite sweet, even without a face, and it is also very colorful with the yellow stripes. I like that the background is totally softened, because it makes Cate stand out in an excellent way.

This is also a very sharp photo with clear and well defined details, and the exposure is just perfect.

The cropping is working so well, and the caterpillar is really well placed within the frame. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo Souldfeeder, and with an excellent DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.

A very beautiful picture of the Monarch butterfly caterpillar on the Milkweed it's colourful stripes standing out from the blurred green background.

This is a great photo for the competition! Nicely focused with good depth of field giving wonderful bokeh as a backdrop, which really makes the caterpillar pop (not literally! Lol).
