Jack,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on the Black sheep with two Black-faced Mountain Sheep. I drove up to this spot yesterday but there was not a sheep to be seen anywhere.

An excellent look at these Sheep, Susan.
I think that the lighting is great. End of the golden hour gets that subtle, melancholy kind of atmosphere, and the earth tones take on a depend color, that is so rich.
Your camera settings are spot on perfect.
Excellent DOF that brings out the gathering evening fog.
This one is very well done... Bob

Sweet scene. I love the characters and the setting in the mountain which is a bit foggy. Great elements of your composition and you have also place your subject properly in the frame.

A very nice atmospheric shot you've captured here Susan, with the misty mauve hillside as a backdrop - it looks so like Northumberland!
You've managed to capture the sheep with their red spray-on numbers virtually hidden, which is great as I find they rather tend to ruin the shot - I took so many sheep photos up north and was never happy with them because of those ugly numbers!
A lovely rural scene, well done.

Typical scene in the uk,there are loads of sheep in this country as well as ireland,my one thing is perhaps a different angle might have made this better in as much is i think you took this as a standard shot [nothing wrong in that]but sometimes you need to look at photos from different perspectives in order to really make them better...Brian

Brian,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on these Sheep in the Dublin Mountains last week. They were moving at some speed. I grabbed this and a few more shots through the car's open window that I was parked on the roadside.

An atmospheric image with the mist hanging over the mountains in the background. Despite the fading light, you captured these lovely sheep very well, in fact the lighting very much adds to the overall scene.

The distant mountainous terrain and sky peeping through as darkness approaches is lovely. The large sheep are nice as is the grass in its large turfs. Thanks for sharing artist friend Susan.
