The female tiger swallowtail is gorgeous, simply beautiful. The plant life is lively. I like the dark pinks in those stems also. The dark background makes the yellow butterfly pop more. Best wishes in the contest.

A very beautiful visual presented here of this colourful butterfly resting among the large green leaves. Your black background highlights your subject perfectly. Composition is well thought out and executed.

A beautiful butterfly photo Lee-Ann - but I'd expect nothing less from you with your talent!
The butterfly itself is perfect too, no damage to any part of its wings - it almost looks like it's made of paper!
The image is very well focused, with a good depth of field leaving only the back leaves soft.
Perfect exposure giving beautiful vibrant colours throughout.
And a lovely composition, with the tight crop and the greens behind.
Good luck in the contest (but not too much! Lol)

Butterflies are one of my favorite summer animals. There is a beauty about them that can't compare in mother nature. Well framed, focus spot on, great capture. Thanks for sharing!
