It is an impressive building you have pictured here, and I like the close and personal approach. The Liver Birds are standing out from the cloudy sky in an excellent way.

The photo is sharp showing clear and well defined details in every part of the buildings, and the exposure is perfect.

The tall format is working well, and your point of view was very good. This of course makes for a good and well balanced composition. It is a lovely and well taken photo Nikman, and with an excellent DOF.

This is a wonderful architectural image Nik. I love the layers of different structures and heights. The clarity of your image is great and the clock tower is very well placed. Well captured!

More terrific examples of remarkable architecture, thanks Nik. That Liver building and it's protege are all individually interesting. Each has similar color palettes and vertical lines yet each stands out with their own specific details. I have such respect for the older architectural designs with all the ornamental decorations and blend of shapes and layers. The builders and architects of the past had so much talent and grit to even attempt creating these designs, they were true visionaries! Great shot!

Very many thanks for your for your kind review! It is a very famous port city in Europe. Your ancestors could well have sailed to the US from here as docks in Ireland back then could not accommodate that huge ships at that time.

Oh,I know about the port city of Liverpool! I'd never heard of 'Liver birds' or about the building in your photo! : )

A symphony of elegance frozen in time. Your photograph beautifully captures the architectural poetry written in the lines and curves of these buildings. Well done! Thanks for sharing!

Well seen with an almost monotone colouring for all the buildings adding volume to your image. Nicely titled to tell us what you saw here. The tall lines of the windows direct our attention to the high perches.

Nik,
An interesting picture of the Liver Building with the "Legendary Liver Birds" wings outspread on top of the clock tower & on lower down on the left. The Towers clock face resembles "Big Ben" in London. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

You really have a great eye for composition. You managed to cram a load of architectural detail into this shot whilst still capturing both birds. A job well done!
