Happy thanksgiving to you too Bob!
I am enjoying the blimp of the summer and hope of the next spring coming. That is the way I look at this too although I like winter snow also.
Great photo and thank you for sharing!

It is a very long time to spring, but it would not help if it was closes, because these lovely Dahlia flowers are not in bloom until end of August in my garden. You have pictured them well, and they are standing out from the green foliage in an excellent way.
The photo is sharp showing clear and well defined details in the petals of the flowers. Unfortunately there are some issues with the light some of the petals are over exposed, and with loss of details.
The photo is however nicely cropped, and the flowers have got a fine placement within the frame. It is a lovely and well taken photo Jack, but in need of some adjustments.

Nice framing Jack with the three flowers focused nicely. My only distraction are the hotspots where the colour and detail has been lost. I was told it is best to expose on the brightest part of the image to capture that detail then use an editing program to bring back the light to the dim areas. This way the whole image has detail, colour and no hotspots

If you have exposure compensation on your camera this can solve this problem for you

These dahlia are surely dazzling. I love your angle that showcased the best part of these bloom and really facing you. I like the natural colors and how you've framed this naturally direct from the garden or its home. Points of improvement is just to decrease the brightness because some portion is too bright and overexposed. You can also avoid that by using manual setting and increase your F/# while maintaining your ISO to 200 since this is outdoor. Usually F/8 or more might be fitted with this natural light. Have a Happy Thanksgiving, too.
