Charlotte,
A beautiful picture of this model of your Epstein cat with anxious looking eyes & pricked ears listening to your every word as you created it. Created by your artist's eye for composition very skilful modeling and treatment of the clay to recreate the lost stolen "Cat".

A fine entry into the competition presented here together with interesting notes. Your full and appropriate composition offers us an enjoyable view of your impressive sculpture. Exposure and sharpness are good. Nicely done in every way!

Sculpted elegance: this cat's grace is immortalised in every curve of stone. It looks as though it has come to life. Excellent work. Good luck!

No, your sculpture is better, looks a lot better than the ones I did research to see how they looked. In your fine photograph, his eyes do look sad and his nose is a little like that of a human's in that it goes all the way down from between the eyes. I enjoyed your commentary also.

Thank you so much Glena, yes I thought the nose was a bit odd, but that was how the original was - I changed the eyes because the rather blind looking ones on the original really didn?t look right on mine - my sister didn?t seem to mind, which is the main thing!

Exactly right. You had to do it like you saw and again yours is better than the ones I was able to find.

Oh bless you Glena, thank you :)

Charlotte this a fine sculpture, the cat is so cute. This is modeling clay, so you would have to make a plaster cast of it and then use the bronze in the cast. You would have to use different kind of clay, firing clay to fire it in a kiln. I think you did a fantastic job on this. Ray

Thank you so much Ray, for your great review!
No, this is firing clay, I did try those modelling clays you can cook in an oven, but couldn?t get on with them at all, the texture is so different. The brittleness of dried firing clay I overcame by using the glue and paint mix.

It all has to do with the binder in the clay, but you know that already. You are welcome Charlotte. Ray

Yeah, it?s like it has fibres in it, or cotton wool, yuck! 🤣

This little cat is beyond adorable! What a kind gesture. Your sister must be very appreciative. I would say this is the Epstein Cat's little kitten <3.

It was very nice of you to find this for your sister and I hate that someone stole her belongings. I also had someone break into my house and stole my tools, microwave and many other things. I think that in the long run that they will answer for those things. I like the way that this is framed. I see that this is entered in a contest and I wish you the best in it. JackJr.

Well I had no idea that you sculpted too!
I can see why your sister loved this cat! You did such an awesome job in creating it , I especially appreciate the accurate shape , structure and proportions. I love the relaxed pose!
Very well photographed with good focus, this image is clear, exposure is correct, colors and tones appear true.
Well presented!

Sculpture was my first passion, as a teenager I would spend days in my room, with the arm of the record player pulled right back, so that Leonard Cohen could play on repeat! Lol
This is the first I've done for over forty years, and it was so great to have my hands in clay again - though a little frustrating too, as I was so out of practice.
Thank you so much for your great review Pat.
Are you surrounded by snow yet?
