Pat,
A beautiful stop action picture of the Bohemian Waxwing with a snow tipped red berry in the air between it's beak tips.with the snow in the background giving a contrasting backdrop to the Waxwing's plumage. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

I think this is a perfect action shot that you actually caught the little chap catching the berry in his beak. At least that's what it looks like. It's perfect in every way from the detail on body to the angle you took it and the crisp snow all around. The little red berries add such a bit of warmth to this overall very simple, but very captivating picture.

An amazing photo!! I thought it was a painting! The individual fingers of frost on the twig and berries display the cold, and the small swipes of color on the wings and tail show a very steady hand with the camera!

Talk about excellent timing for this shot! You must have had a high shutter speed, a steady hand and a little bit of luck on your side to capture this image. It's a superb wildlife photograph, the type I could imagine in one of those high end photographic wall calendars. Really one to be proud of and worth a six star rating for sure.

Love the scene of this Bohemian waxwings enjoying its frozen berry. What a refreshing sight, and the frost added so much life in this photo. Well framed and well captured.

Thank you so much my friend! It?s fascinating to watch these birds, they quickly grab the berry and next thing I see is that they are catching it in the air . I appreciate your support and I am honored by your six stars!

A very sweet and endearing photo presented here. Your composition shades tones and background highlights your subject perfectly. Love the fact you were able to catch him as he was collecting the berries. Well done!

Ahh I think that answers my previous question about whether the snow's arrived! Lol
This is such a great capture Pat, talk about perfect timing!! I suppose they must have to eat the berries still frozen, I'd never thought about that.
Great colour balance (so often pics of snow are rather blue!), excellent composition, sharp focus and perfect dof.
