Hi Jennifer.. I see and understand what you were going for with this shot = it's all about the radiant colors. I couldn't agree more they are stunning to see.
Shooting from a moving car is an art form unto itself - I know because I have done it for years.
Some tips - Before you start your drive home anticipate, set the focus to infinity, and set it for center spot metering.
In post processing use the crop tool and take out some sky and foreground road. You'd be surprised at the difference.
Even though the shot isn't Nat Geo quality I applaud the effort. You recognized the shot at the right time and you got exactly what you wanted and to that I say well done... Bob

love the colors that you have captured here. the angle of the shot of this road going off to this soft colorful horizon is great. the clarity is great. the capture of the light is great. the presentation is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall

This has a dreamy feel when viewing ! The sun has just set , I like that the road leads the eye right back to the treeline and the warm gold and pink tones moving up onto the blue sky, there is a Mist in the sky.

Ah! This is a lovely composition, especially that sky with the glorious sunset. And, it does look glorious the way the mingled lights come up with the dark road, foliage, and a few car lights below.

this does look as if done for a moving car,and probarly through a windscreen because although the sky has a nice glow its not clear in this and slightly blurred plus ther is to much sky and the ground is to dark as well,maybe try again because skys can be rewarding when done well...brian

I'm not a photographer I just happen to like the sky I don't have time to stop for photographs this was just nice to see I thought I share it but needless to say everyone else seems to enjoy it sorry you didn't maybe try my art maybe you will find where I rather use or spend most of my time creating is better than capturing I believe thanks for your thoughts and colors mostly as always God bless
