Such a sad story is this but at least you were there for her[my mum passed away in a care home and i was not there] the photo is not the best but don,t think that matters as such,my only thought would to have used this for the story to tell contest rather than a candid,that aside the thinking behind you putting this on reminds all of us [more so this time of year]that to make the most of people around us while you can.....Brian

Thank you Brian, I appreciate your kind words. The photo was faded into the background to make it appear more ethereal. The original was quite clear. I even had to smudge the name band because all my mom's info was clearly legible. I wasn't sure about submitting to "Candid" but I didn't see another contest that this would work for. I'll keep an eye for "Story to Tell", I didn't see that one. Thank you for your kind words.

Absolutely love this it reminds me of my grandmother who I just lost 4 years ago she was a great lady so this great Peice of art is very precious to my heart just like she is sorry was in a moment when art has that reaction on people it's a good thing keep up the great art work

Thanks so much Jennifer, I never thought that I would use this image in my art and struggled with the decision but as we get closer to the anniversary, I felt like I needed to use it. Thanks for your kind words.

Sorry for your loss. Creative approach I. This image. Nice job on hazing the borders and it does assist in the POV. The angle of the shot of these hands is great. The capture of the light is good. The presentation is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Creative approach and great job overall
