The doe looks so lovely framed with all the purple dame's rockets. I fully understand that these flowers are your favorite wildflowers. Even with all this vegetation, the doe is still standing out well.
The photo is sharp showing clear and well defined details in the doe, and the exposure is perfect. The colors look nice and natural.
The format and framing is very good and the doe has got a fine placement within the frame. A truly sweet and well taken photo Lee Ann, and with an excellent DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.

Nice capture on this one! The purple against the brown really makes it stand out. The flower by her eye is a little distracting but I know with these guys you gotta take the shot when you can LOL. Wonderful capture, good luck in the contest!
