I had to smile when I saw the title, because I could see the two kamikaze twins right away. Looks like the bee was in for a fight to keep the goodies for itself. The flower is really pretty as well with the purple colors, and the light is falling on it in such a lovely way.

Your focus is sharp showing clear and well defined details in the insects, and the exposure is very good.

I also like the way you have cropped the photo and the placement of the flower within the frame. It is a lovely and well taken photo Bob, and with a very good DOF.

These moments are what I love about nature photography Annie. This take is from the Portland Head Light shoot. These two marauders are exceptionally territorial. If I got too close to one of their blossoms they would shoe me away. Finally, this hapless Bombus arrived to save me. In the end I got my Rose takes, the Bee got its nectar and the Kamikaze Twins left fighting with each other. A typical day at the office, thanks for looking... Bob

This is a story that I like and I think that the big guy could take them on, so they are lucky that he gave them a break. This is well centered and the focus on the two trouble makers is really great. I always enjoy seeing your work and I see the talent of a great photographer, also I always appreciate your advice which will help me become a better photographer myself. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing. JackJr.

Hi Jack.. The Bee pretty much just ignored these guys. Turns out it was just what I needed. The distraction caused by the Bee keep the Hoverflies busy and I got my Rose shots unencumbered and non-photo bombed. Thank you so very much for great review and rating. I am glad you liked the post ... Bob

Bob,
A beautiful picture of the Bumblebee & two Hoverflies on the right ( Hoverflies have just Two wings. Bees have four) in the purple Rose bathed in dappled sunshine and shadow.
Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.
Susan

You are my hero Susan. I wasn't sure but I thought Hoverflies and I knew I could count on you - 2 wings as opposed to 4, that's priceless. Nasty buggers this lot, very territorial. Thanks for the review, the cool info and the stars... Bob
