What a shot! The whole composition is truly picturesque. The light shining through making the flower more sheer adds so much. The background is also well done. I'm glad to see a small part of the green stem. Thanks so much for sharing. Outstanding capture and photography!

The amaryllis is such a showy flower, I usually grow them indoors during the holiday season, this year mine didn't grow.
I love the way you shot this face on with the light behind it . It emphasizes the way the petals overlap .
Well focused, this image is sharp and clear and it is easy to see the detail and texture of the red petals.
The flower is standing out beautifully from the soft blue/grey background .
I like also the shadows in background,
Well composed in the square format, well presented.

Hi Pat.. Last year mine didn't grow - first time that ever happened.
The winter sun is just low enough that this bay window makes a great plant growing environment. To say nothing about the great photo ops that occur from time to time indoors and out.
