This photo is amazingly beautiful, I love the color contrast how the many shades of yellow show themselves. The lighting is absolutely beautiful excellent work.

What a great honor as a flower contest usually draws a lot of entries. Thanks Tom and committee!

You have pictured this yellow Dahlia so well, and I especially like the close and personal approach. The light is falling on the flower in such a lovely way.
Your focus is spot on and sharp showing such clear and well defined details in every petal of the flower, and the exposure is perfect.
I also like the tightness of the cropping and the format, and the flower has got a fine placement within the frame. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo Allan, and with an excellent DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.

Allan, you have captured a lovely yellow flower. Is it a rhododendron?
The lighting and exposure creates a nice balance of highlights and shadows to exemplify the details of each petal.
Nice job! Good luck in the contest!

Hi Jewell, I believe this to be a dahlia and not a rhododendron.
Thanks for the nice review of this image. I appreciate it a lot.

It's a perfect title for this image!
The Sunshine yellow dahlia is just fabulous, these are a huge favorite of mine and they are very easy to grow and care for .
You have photographed this one well with spot on focus, this image is sharp and clear and your exposure is perfect, you have brought out such great detail in the petals and the beautiful dahlia center that allows a good sense of how these beauties unfold one petal at a time.
Beautiful show of the tonal variations in the light and shaded portions.
Well composed full frame.
Well presented! This is worthy of a six, I'm sorry I don't have one to award!
Very best wishes to you in this contest!
