I really like the close and personal approach, and how well you have captured the eyes with the lovely long lashes. I also like the way the doe is looking straight at you when this photo was taken.
Your focus was spot on and sharp, and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen in every part of the doe's pretty face. The exposure is perfect, and the colors are crisp and clear.
The format is very good, and the doe has got a fine placement within the frame. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo Lee Ann, and with an excellent DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.

Gorgeous closeup of the Doe as she hides in the long grass.
The detail is amazing including those long lashes (wouldn't mind lashes like that myself)
