Ah love a good side by side comparison, as a 90s kid mostly on here for the photography side of it, seeing this brings back some nostalgia..

Hi Devonte, I think you did a nice job re-creating this! Though it is slightly different than the photo image ( Probably because you were basing your image on the photo) You made the viewer feel the punch! I would hate to see anything like this coming my way! I like the shading in the tornado. I think it adds to the windswept punch of it! Nicely done!

This is a very nice drawing of your real life photo. You have captured the intensity and of this fierce force of nature. Great job and thank you for sharing.

Thanks for posting the original photograph that you based your drawing on. The first thing that the viewer's eye sees in the photo is the contrast between the tornado and the white clouds on either side of it on. Unfortunately, I think that contrast is what's missing from your composition. All the elements in your drawing have the same value and they shouldn't. I think if you make your tornado much darker and lighten the skies on either side of it somewhat, it will really improve the dramatic effect that this needs. You have a terrific ability at recreating what you have seen. Your ability to convey foreshortening and depth is perfect. And the way you have framed the scene is spot on.

Thank you, and this was created years ago. I only had a No.2 pencil. So I did the best I can with what I have.

nice sketch, the detail is good. the depth is good. i would like to offer a suggestion to help you with your shading. after you apply your pencil, take your finger and rub over where you shaded. you will notice it will blend out the pencils lines and give it more depth. try it. the creation is balanced and eye interesting to the viewer. good job overall

The pencil art vividly depicts the intensity of the tornado's fury, with each line conveying the tumultuous energy of its destructive force.Intricate pencil strokes capture the raw power and swirling chaos of the tornado, evoking a sense of awe and danger. Well done! Here is my 'six' for the unique artwork. All the best!

pack up the kids we are out of here and don't forget the dog. Devonte must have been a harrowing experience, you are one of the lucky ones that can talk about it. Thank you for sharing. Ray

I always found tornadoes very fascinating. I never been through one because I live in North Carolina (doesn't mean we don't get none, but not to the severity of Oklahoma). So, a lot of times if I see a cool photograph of a tornado I would sit down and draw it. Thank you very much for your feedback, I appreciate it!

I like it that you have attached the real touchdown of this powerful EF5 tornado. Your drawing surely resembles this photograph. I like the way you've drawn the residential dwellings and the way you shade your artwork. A drawing with a story to tell.
