Hi Ray, I feel like I'm looking at an oily water reflection of this building. I love the pastel colors that make it up. I don't know what's going on inside the buildings but I definitely like the view on the outside. I enjoyed the view! :o) Nancy

A Honky Tonk is a place where serve liquor and they play mostly Country music but all other styles also. This was modeled after our Nashville trip. Two floors of music and there must be a hundred of them on or about Broadway in Nashville. Ray

Yes you got it, it is a venue in Nashville, Tennessee, where there are two floors of music and they play all genres of music, called a Honky Tonk. And there is nothing more than that. Ray

Is this inspired by some well-known restaurant? I have no clue about Honky Tonk. But the use of colour and shading in this painting is masterful. The active brushwork creates a sense of depth and dimension that's truly captivating. Here goes my first SIX for the artwork. Well done!
