What a pretty orchid. I have two orchids in pots. One had twenty blooms on it at the same time this year. The other used to bloom also until I made the mistake of repotting. Still alive but has not bloomed since. Nice composition filling the frame well and sharp overall focus. Well done :)

Christine thank you for your wonderful review. I love flowers and I use to work in a flower shop many years ago but I never lost my love of flowers. I am a point and shooter with my Iphone. I love this, I took it at a mansion in Tennessee where they sell orchids and thats the story. Ray

You captured this butterfly orchids, too, while it is still in its perfect stage and prime. Framing fits well in the portrait orientation. Lighting and white balance control setting were well-managed and I like the retention of natural colors. A lovely sight.

Nieves, thank you for your awesome review. These orchids were presented in natural sun light from a large sky light and they were for sale. When I saw them, I was so excited and had a hard time keeping the camera steady. I am so glad you enjoy them. Ray

Ray Gordon, you have truly out done yourself this time around for this is in my humble opinion one of the finest Orchid takes I have seen.
I am a stickler when it comes to flower petal detail - I wanna see petal veins, crenulations, stamins and anthers and this shot has all that and a lot more.
The colors are strikingly sharp bright and oh so crisp - yowza! Thank you for not having a great expanse of background sometimes just a little is enough and this take supports that supposition.
I have been saving my last six for something truly outstanding and this is it and it is yours... Bob
