A good looking image presented here into the competition! Your fine and classical composition offers us an enjoyable view of that pretty bird and its location. Sharpness and exposure are fine. Well done and good luck!

This is such a cute photograph of this chick Tern. I'm sure many people ,like myself have never seen this bird ever. I like the narrative which is very educational. Thank you for sharing.

Taken with a long lens and this is a cute shot of this young bird, the focus on the bird does not appear to be pin sharp, not sure why but apart from that i do like it and the info was quite amusing about dive bombing of tourists[not so if you had been dive bombed though]...Brian

Thanks Brian. Yes you're the 2nd person to say it's not quite in focus, I hadn't realised (what a bummer!) - think my eyesight must be getting worse!

Charlotte,
A fantastic picture of this Arctic Tern Chick looking down as walks forward. The green Nettles making a perfect contrasting background agaist it's grey, white down & orange webbed feet. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Hi Charlotte, Love this little fluff ball baby Tern! I think the size of the image caused the image to be a wee bit out of focus, but the subject definitely wins you over. Nice lighting and great story in your notes. Definitely fun to view! Thanks for sharing and Good luck in the contest!

Thanks Nancy! I've had 2 people comment on the focus now, I hadn't seen it at all (or I wouldn't have entered it!) - I'll put it down to resizing and increasingly poor eyesight! Lol
