This is a very interesting photo for sure. The foreground is sharp. The shadow is what takes this photo from good to great.

I'd gone out to photograph the magnolias as I know they don't last long, and couldn't believe my luck when I spotted the shadow behind this one! I did take quite a few shots as you can imagine, but only on processing them realised that the flower needed to be aligned inside the shadow to get the full affect and not be lost against the similar colour of the wall.

Magnolia trees are so lovely. Your dine capture is really interesting! I love the concept with the shadow. That is really cool.
I have a huge magnolia tree but it never blooms more than two or three flowers.

I'll have to ask my friend what they do with their magnolias as they have a few and they were all just covered with flowers - if I find out I'll let you know.

Interesting one with the shadow as that almost looks like a bee in flight,having said that this still would have been okay but seeing the shadow just adds a bit of extra interest....Brian
