A beautiful picture of the ten people & two dogs walking along the tide line at the base of the Sand dunes on Formby beach. The overcast sky threatens rain. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Are the sand dunes on the other side of these cliffs? A beautiful landscape photograph of a very rugged coastline. Not much space between the ocean and the cliffs if the tide turns!! Good luck in the contest.

Very many thanks for your kind review! They are not cliffs, but sand dunes!! They form a huge region along the coast and inland too.

I wouldn't want to get caught down on the beach when the tide comes in Nik.
A fine exposure with a long DOF. The people are seen but do not take away from the magnitude of the scene.
Well framed with a great diminishing perspective down the beach.
Color palette is on the cool side and heightens the drama of the scene.

I am a stickler for balance in a photo (at least mine). At first glance this could appear to be off balance to the left. But after looking at I think the cool colors on the right offer a balance to the large, but warm colors, of the cliff. So, well done.
