A slow shutter speed for milky look

I do like this version as well, but the first photo was probably more realistic and you could see much more of the variations of golden colors. I think the milky approach suits white water falls better.

Still also this is a well taken photo with very good sharpness and exposure, and the composition is nicely balanced.

Posting both fast and slow shutter speeds of the same scene was interesting. Some liked the milky appearance and some like the sharp detail in the water. The thing that is hard to evaluate is scale. This waterfall is only about 20 feet across and 4 feet high. I would look much bigger at first glance. Thanks for the review.

Thanks Brian, I like the more detailed photo myself. The milky looking one is what most people would create I think.

Hi Allan, Like you I like waterfall shots in both fast and slow speeds. I love the crystal look look of flowing water and softer stream look. I think in this case I like the softer look, it reminds me of someone poring a cup of coffee. Lol Both were very nicely taken with good lighting and focus. Love the angle of shot. :o) Nancy

Hi Nancy, this was interesting to post both photos. Some liked the milky version and some liked the detail version. That is why photography is so interesting, you can create your own reality to an extent. Thanks much for your review once again.
