Thank you Daphne. This is a special. The original idea came from a painting on glass that Ecki did and his daughter has now. I used it as a reference for this painting which I wanted to keep as a memory. However if you would like a print I can arrange it.

Oh yes I would like a print of course but don't want to put you out. I have moved to a bigger room now though and would have wall-space if it wouldn't be too hard. How is your health? Your diabetes -- your state of mind? Remember my email is daphneoberon@gmail.com should you have the time to catch me up on your news after such a very trying time!!!! This is a very interesting painting. It is very dynamic with the crashing waves against the ship. The diagonal rigging of the sails adds a lot of interest. The colors of the flag are a nice touch.
Captaining tall ships, what a great adventure.

OMG, thankfully you are OOK! That is so tragic to happen to you. I hope you have a full recovery from such an emotional situation. Peace be with you!

An absolutely amazing work of art. I give it five stars for the brilliant job of bringing the ship to life in all its glory! The sixth star is for your husband for achieving the goal I could only dream of.

It is always nice to see alternate approaches. The action really speaks here. With fine draughtsmanship and handling of the medium, you have created a painting that is classical in its composition. Well done!

Brenda, you have done a excellent job with this watercolor, showing how the ship banks off of the wind. The details are right on. Not a full set of sails because of the strong wind and by the position of the flag, this ship is tacking into the wind. I think you have done a great job portraying this realistic scene. Very enjoyable scene, to the eyes of a former merchant marine academy attendee, I am impressed. Ray

A good looking image posted together with interesting notes too! Your fine and full composition gives us an enjoyable view of a ship from long ago. Would not like to be sailing in one of those! Nicely painted.
