Hi Maureen, I almost feel as if I'm looking a Nostradamus writing predictions of the future. Love the beautiful set up of this. Love the features of the wizened old man and the candle. Oh wow! This is so beautifully created! Way back in the day the old man works by candle light. You have done amazing here to show the man sitting at his desk , the light is especially well shown here.the colors and tones are masterfully chosen and applied! Very well done. This pastel is wonderfully executed with soft colors and just the right amount of detail. The ambient lighting is so well done especially on the face. Really a great work of art Maureen.

I love this rendition of and ancient scribe perhaps writing in a journal or a chapter in history. The look of an older individual with the longer hair and glasses adds warmth to the rendition.

Maureen, You have done it again with your excellent illustration of this elder, either transcribing or translating by candlelight, whilst scribing with a conifer twig. Love your style and you work on black and letting the colors accumulate. Very nice. Ray
