Hi Brian thank you for your wonderful review and rating. A plein air artist is one who goes outside and paints scenery and landscape. So these two artists are looking for the best place to set up, and thats it. I am glad you enjoyed it. Ray

Brian, It was all in the title. Plein Air Artists. Can't forget the title, it is the biggest clue I can give you, for nonverbal comunication. I am not a fan of a long verbal detailed description. Guess what you are right with two witches because this is what you observed. The answer I gave you was my intent. The best info for me is that you liked it. The funny part about it is I was in my studio creating this and not Plein Air. Your reviews are very important to me because they give me insight from someone who is into realism, capturing moments in time. Thank you again Brian. Ray

In your usual style, you have created a beautiful rendition of a spot in nature these men are looking for. I presume fishing. I love the simulation of water and land in abstraction. Great colors and depth if field created, here.

Jewell, thank you for your fine review. Plein Air artists are those who are outside painting scenery as oppose to studio artists who paint inside. I am glad yu enjoyed it. Ray

Jewell, The title is "Plein Air Artists". You wrote this wonderful complimentary review and wrote, " You have created a beautiful rendition of a spot in nature these men are looking for ... " At this point I truly thought or assumed you were going to say , "... a good place to set up for a day of painting" and then you said " I presume fishing." and then I assumed you didn't know what plein air artists were, so many don't know. I have obviously offended you unintentionally and I am truly sorry. I'd rather smiles. Ray

This reminds me of the years I worked for a steel mill and my visits to the iron ore mines!:) The painting exudes the mood and vibrancy. I can almost smell the earth through this photo. Well done, Ray.

I have a friend who is just getting into plein air art. I like the position these artists have chosen , it's just so beautiful here! It has a rugged , rocky look with some vegetation growing that adds to the color and textures in this scene.it appears to be a pond there in the front and I like the way it reflects the sky.
This is so very well rendered and I like the vertical format.

I have a friend who is just getting into plein air art. I like the position these artists have chosen , it's just so beautiful here! An interesting piece of art that incorporates many beautiful colors. Reminds me of my trip to Arizona last year, as the countryside is very rugged and many of the rocks are red in color.
