Thank you very very much, Ray. I really appreciate your wonderful support that you give me during this time. I?ve had a terrible time with a failed knee operation which I had twice and I?m trying to get my life in order with dealing with it you cheered me up today.

What a wonderful submission for this competition. It's such a special moment when a parent holds their child for the first time. Per usual, your pastel technique is superb. The shading and contours are beautifully rendered and the textured details are perfectly placed to create this very intimate moment. Great piece.

I am used to seeing 'Mother and Child' artworks and sculptures. This is the first time I have comecrosse a 'Father and Child' artwork. It stirs me emotionally. It is well done.! Good luck!

Such a sweet and tender scene of this Dad and his son. I like the descriptive artist's note, saying that this is the first time scene for this Dad to hold his son. The facial expression is so real. The choice of colors are well-chosen. I also like how you've drawn and painted those wrinkles in the blanket that wraps the baby. That brownish background is just right making the colors of your character to really stands out. Excellent drawing and painting techniques and skills. An image with depth of substance and a story to tell.
