Yowey, what a shot Pat. You got this bird in full attack mode with every feather in sharp focus.
1/2000 was just perfect for this bird.
I can see its tongue in the open beak, that's how sharp this one is.

Pat, this is a great capture of a Canadian goose coming in for an aggressive landing. Nice stop action and perfectly focused. The geese on my pond peck and hiss when they encounter a rival. You do beautiful work thank you for sharing. Ray

A beautiful stop action picture of the Canada Goose Gander coming into land to complete his argument with another Gander possibly over a beautiful Goose? the sunlight catching the shine on his plumage in the background the sky is reflected on the glistening surface of the pond. A beautiful stop action picture of the Canada Goose Gander coming into land to complete his argument with another Gander possibly over a beautiful Goose? the sunlight catching the shine on his plumage in the background the sky is reflected on the glistening surface of the pond. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

What a great motion shot. You sure have mastered camera settings and technique to freeze these wildlife scenes.
The goose's expression is so common with these birds as, you say, they are territorial and angry with any competition. Great sharpness! Super job.
