What a fantastic expression- timed it perfectly! He certainly seems to be 'posing' for the camera. Perfect DOF, excellent details, super sharp around the eyes where it really counts. Very well done.

What a beautiful boy! I love him! He looks so intelligent and obedient! His eyes are so bright with a hint of mischief perhaps. Beautiful colour and focus! I bet he gives good kisses! My husband and I do pet sittings around the world but we live in UK so it's a little far. Thanks for sharing!

The focus is spot on and sharp, and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen in the face. Very nice high lights in the eyes as well, and a perfect exposure.
I also like the square format you have cropped the photo into, and also the fine placement of Chance within the frame. It is a truly lovely and well taken portrait of your dog Pat, and with an excellent DOF.
