Absolutely stunning image and a great story behind the scenes. Your heart must have been pounding! Maybe that is what he heard and paused for : )
The sun provided just enough highlights to make the image stand out so well.
For me this would have been a shot of a lifetime. Thanks for sharing and well done!

It was a really intense moment. Nothing short of miraculous that I was able to transition from a bird set up on my camera to a much larger subject moving away from me at an oblique angle. All within what could not have been more than ten to fifteen seconds from the time he first appeared until he vanish in the trees on the other side of the yard. Unforgettable moment without a doubt!

I gotta say, this is a first so I could not be any more stunned. So very humbled for the high praise and recognition of my work.

Omg I'm so glad you got the shot! Your tactics paid off. What a gorgeous animal and equal gorgeous photo. I applaud the patience it must take to capture such images.

Really appreciate the high marks for this image. The entire 'shoot' lasted less than ten seconds from the time he appeared on one side of the yard until he vanished into the woods on the opposite side. I have seen him twice since but always at a distance and only for a couple of seconds.

This is such a cute bobcat. But I know how vicious and violent that they can be. This is a phenomenal shot of this bobcat. I hoping you were in a safe spot taking this photo. Beautifully done, thank you for sharing

I don't think he had any idea I was nearby. The Tragopan photo blind made that possible. Had I been out in the open, he would have spotted me and I most likely would have never even known he was there.
