This is a lovely entry for this contest Mary, you have photographed it well with nice focus . This image is clear and your exposure is perfect. The colors and tones appear natural.
Well defined detail in each of the petals and in the golden center too. The flower is standing out from its natural background .

So lovely and the clarity of the stamens is superb. I love the contrast of the magenta petals and gold stamens. The square frame suits well and the darkened backward. Lighting is well-managed and focus is spot on showing prominent details.
