This is a good entry into the competition. Definitely a different angle taken of this flower opening up. The image is clear and well positioned in the frame. The green background shows the colors off well; focus and clarity are great. Good luck in the contest

I love columbine ! These grow wild here in Alaska . I like the angle of shot allowing a good view of the structure of the Columbine from the back. I love the purple and white pattern of this one too.
Well photographed with good focus this image is clear, exposure is correct, the colors and tones appear natural. The flower is standing out beautifully from the soft green background , you have brought out nice detail. The raindrops bring a sense of freshness.

I have a lot of these plants in my garden, and this bloom is pictured so well. I especially like your point of view showing the spurs, because they are often left out in photos. The light green background looks great, and the flower is standing out from it in an excellent way.
The photo is sharp showing clear and well defined details in every part of the colombine, and the exposure is spot on.
The photo is also nicely cropped, and the flower has got a fine placement within the frame. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.
