You have indeed pictured this great blue well, and it is posing for you in such a great way. I especially like the dark background and how lovely the light is falling on the bird's head.

The bird is standing out sharp and well defined, and it is clear details to be seen in every part of the bird. The white balance and exposure is perfect.

I also like the way you have cropped the photo and the placement of the bird off to the right. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo Willie, and with an excellent DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.

Thank you so very much for your review and the six. I had gone fishing and saw this guy so I went home (about 2 miles) and got my camera and watched him fish. He caught one but his back was to me when he caught it.

Nice capture of the great blue heron, well placed within the frame and I like its pose looking up.
Well focused, this image is clear , exposure is well managed, colors and tones appear natural.
