I really like this shot. I like the very limited colors that are included. Yet even with only the basic blacks and shades of black and gray they are shape and distinct, well lighted and defined. We don't always need bright colors to make a cool bird shot. Good luck.

These are such funny birds to watch and usually found in groups. Your composition is good handling the bare branches framing the bird.

I like the angle showing the expressive eye of this Apostlebird. Focus is also great, textures are prominent. Framing placement is fine with sufficient negative space for your subject to move. Well done.

I am not familiar with this bird at all and even though the image is a little dark I enjoyed the view. Focus is right on target and I love the pose. All in all, very interesting! Nicely Done! Good Luck in the Contest! :o) Helvi
