A beautiful picture of both the Rhododendron flower & the Red Admiral Butterfly the textures - colours & patterns of it's wings seen in perfection on contrast to the mauve flower. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Definitely best viewed full screen so you can appreciate the intricate details of the antennae and patterning on the butterfly.
Not one I have seen before it is very pretty.

You have pictured this Red Admiral so well, and I like to see that it is sitting on a purple Rhododendron flower. The background is nicely softened for the butterfly to stand out in an excellent way.
The focus on the butterfly is spot on and sharp showing clear and well defined details in both the body and the wings, and the exposure is perfect.
The format works well, and the butterfly is well placed off to the right. A truly lovely and well taken photo Bob, and with an excellent DOF.
