This is a well-managed take. The background treatment works very well, it brings the viewers' attention to focus just on the Fungi - nicely done.
The color contrast is sharp and brings all the subjects together in a well-orchestrated theme.
With regards to cropping, maybe a little more of the lower third might give a better impression of scale.
Overall, I think this is a fine entry for this contest... Bob

A great entry for this Mushroom Contest. I like the darkened background and how it contrast with the earth toned colours of this mushrooms. LIghting, focus, and placement in the frame are well done.
