One of my favorite things to portray is fabric and drapery. I tried to create the effect of beaded and jewel encrusted gown. I think I did a pretty good job. As for the subject of the painting, rather than being an artist she is a patron of the arts enjoying a glass at a friend's exhibit. I'm so glad you enjoyed the piece. Thanks for the awesome review.

While creating this piece, I chose to focus on simple geometric shapes and dynamic colors to tell a story. Thanks for this great review.

Wow! Very creative and eye appealing. Foreshortening works well, especially in the way you portrayed the way the woman is standing and the flow of her dress to the forward right third of the composition. I might have made her dress red and the wall behind her an off white to make her stand out more against the background, but other than that I love the whimsy, and the obvious talent that you have.
