This is beautiful, right down to the dew drops on the petals. The way the light and shadows hit it gives it a mystical feel. It's really beautiful!! Thanks for sharing.

Water lilies just do have a pristine look to them. You captured this one very well. I like the bud in front of the flower ready to burst into bloom. The background is perfect for this shot. Well done and enjoyable to view.

Thanks for this great review, Allan. Yesterday, someone review this with a 4-rating telling me, that that bud is a leaf and is a distraction.

This is a lovely photograph of the water lily; the center is a little out of focus I feel. I would have preferred that the brown leaf in the for ground had been removed, as it is a bit of a distraction.as it is somewhat of a distraction.

Thanks, Michelle. It is a lotus bud. I am using a long lens with I took this picture, and it is what it is. Nature. I do not want to manipulate digitally although it could have been easy.

So far i have taken photos of water lilys and so far have not got a good one as this,so well done for that,i must try harder in future,good use of dof and the tight crop has made the most of this....Brian
