I love the overall composition of this piece. The black of the background really allows the pink of the flower petals to shine. You also managed to convey the innocence of both the flower and buds growing alongside it. Great work as always. Thanks for sharing.

Stunning image of the Hollyhock against the black background. The composition is good and the clarity is shown well with sharp focus.
Hope your weather settles down - we are in the middle of winter and had hardly any rain which is a worry as reservoirs need top up before summer.

Oh, thank you so much. Hope you will have your rain soon. We're in the middle of Summer and nobody likes it.

Glad you saved this pretty hollyhock. They were my grandmother's favorite flower. I like the miniature hollyhock's as well. Great angled composition against the black backdrop. Your focus is sharp with total depth of field, the raindrops are a plus as well. Good job :)

It took me a long time to come up with a six rating for this image (like .5 second). I love hollyhocks because of their intense color when in full bloom. It is spot on sharp for sure and the rain drops adds a special touch.
One of my favorites on FAR.

You capture it just perfectly with the diagonal orientation and the black background.

You can see every detail in the flower petals. The water is an excellent touch to this picture. Great work in capturing this photograph. Did you keep this flower in the house and water it and put it in a vase? Great work, thank you for sharing!

A very lovely visual presented here of these beautiful little flowers. The use of black adds to the visual and brings the piece forward. Colours are well defined, highlighting, the beautiful petals. Thank you for sharing!

Nieves, after all that abnormal weather this is a beautiful symbol of hope, blossoms and buds. The hollyhock is lovely with its star center. You have done a wonderful job with this. Ray

A beautiful photograph of a hollyhock after the rain. A nice central position in the frame with great focus and clarity. The black background is a nice contrast to the pink flower.

Hi Nieves, Sorry the rain knocked down your hollyhock but I love the angle of the shot! My grandmother always had holly hocks! This reminds me of her garden. Love these tall beautiful plants. I think the lowers are beautiful. Love the touch of rain on this one. The focus and lighting really allow us to see the beauty of this flower. Thanks for sharing!
