Hi Bob, with all those nightmares you sure did pull it off. The colors are crisp and true, focus right on. Looks like he is on stage ready to shuffle. Nicely presented. Ray

Hi Bob, You did a nice job showing off this character. The lighting everywhere looks good! Love the pose! This red winged blackbird looks like he's about to do a few dance steps! LOL I not only like the bird but the grain in the woods he's perched on too! Very pretty! Would have loved to have seen this cropped a little, but other than that really enjoyed the image! Nice job! :o) Nancy

Hi Nancy.. I shot this with my 50D which has only 15Mp. So cropping is pretty much limited. This frame has been cropped about 25%, any more than that and the image begins to pixelate. Thanks for the great review and the stars... Bob

Hi Bob, here's a trick I do when I don't want to crop. Click on the picture and save it, then reduce the size of the original. Now paste the copy of the image you saved on top of it. It's just like cropping but you retain a larger size e of the bird. Before you finally make it permanent you can move the opird image around and position it where you want it. If you don't like what you see save the larger image again and resize the original .Put your
larger copy over that and see what it looks like. It works really well without losing the quality of the image.
Just an idea for you to try! :o) Nancy

I see a lot of work went into capturing this beautiful photo of this red tipped blackbird. You've done it justice. Composition, shades, tones, colours and background highlight your subject perfectly. Well done.

Bob,
A beautiful stop action picture of the male Red Wing Blackbird looking as if he is about to take off from his wooden perch. The light shining on his glossy black plumage, as he stands out from his blurred green background. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Hi Bob, this image of a "Red Winged Blackbird" is a new one for me and a very beautiful type of blackbird. The Blackbirds where I live have a lot of various different bird songs. Very good focus, texture and clarity. Thanks for sharing:-)

A great capture of this red wing blackbird. Focus and clarity are excellent showing wonderful detail of his plumage and colors. More cropping at the top of the photo would improve the overall presentation.,

Hi Michele.. Yes more cropping at the top. Unfortunately I am at the maxium crop without pixilating. Your review and rating is greatly appreciated... Bob
