Nicely done Ray. Love your mix of colors and your technique is just spot on. Too bad there was not a contest you could have entered this in. Keep up the great work.

Chuck, I am glad you enjoy this and thank you for your fine review. As far as contests, I find it hard to compete with AI, but I do enter contests. Ray

Wow, looks like it's time to head for cover, cause there's definitely a storm coming this way! The deep water is reflecting the dark clouds above and the sudden breeze is roughing up the water's surface, distorting the reflection of the backside vegetation. Reminds me of someone tossing a large rock into a pond and watching the reflected colors dance and blend into one another. Really love the panoramic view, definitely a great choice for this piece!

Hi Ray, this Acrylic painting of a "Lakeside Breeze" is captivating. I see a storm amongst the water lillies and maybe some hail. The lake is deep and dark, a nice effect. Thanks for sharing :-)

I like how you've framed this in long landscape orientation. The vegetation in the lakeside made a nice contrast with the color of the lake. Great choice of realistic colors of the water. I can just imagine the beauty of this lakeside even in the evening. Great title, Ray.

Well, I think I see the effect of the breeze on the water. The colors are complimentary, enhanced by a dark background. I hope I am getting better at interpreting your work, because I do find it intriguing.

Michele I thank you for this wonderful review and you are doing fine seeing and enjoying the illusion. Granted it is not that typical bowl of fruit, which has it's own merits. It is just a different avenue of expression, a different place. I am glad you enjoy it. Ray

Good Heavens Ray! Your lakeside breeze looks like a hurricane is battering the water! I see some pretty big splashes in there! Not sure if I'd want to be by the lakeside with what I see going on! You colors and strokes indicate a storm in my eyes! You definitely made this intense! Like the wide horizontal look! Very cool and different! :o) Nancy

I've always thought that the thing most artists want to hear about their art is what the viewer sees in it. I was a little scared on this one that I might be wrong with my interpretation.Glad to hear I got it right! You nailed the look Ray! It was a fun piece to view! :o) Nancy

Brian I am sorry you don't understand what Abstract expressionism is, an art form that was developed in Europe in the 1900. Your review doesn't make sense to me. You blame it on the "slight panoramic" view and then you degrade me for something you don't understand. I have been patiently answering your questions and trying to help you to see what art is all about. Comment all you want because I am hear to share my work, find out what others think, but not to be berated. I have talked to you about this before and you said it was a mistake. A fine photographer berating an artist makes no sense to me, there is no gain for the photographer at all. It is too bad you can't see and enjoy all the aspects of something created, something that includes different shapes and color arranged in an artistic way. Ray

Abstract paintings offer a unique and captivating form of artistic expression. The beauty of abstract art lies in its ability to evoke emotion. This certainly does.Well done!
