I think this works for the contest. The shading is really nice and I like the tones used. The light reflection is also nice. It may need adjustment on the focus but otherwise nice work. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for your review and input. This was converted from 35mm print so I should have checked the focus more closely.

What an absolutely incredible visual presented here. I love your composition. The black background highlights your subject matter perfectly. I also love the intricate details within the flowers themselves. Amazing photography!!

This is a good-looking black-and-white presentation of the orchids. You framed it well, and the light, shadows, and composition worked well. Good luck!

This "Ghostly Orchid" is a good low key contest entry. I can imagine it would be a fantastic colour image as well. Good focus, texture and clarity and I like the rain drops. Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest :-)

Oh my goodness. I love your approach to dramatic affect in this amazing photograph. I am a pencil artist who uses high and low light to achieve dimension and deep contrast. You have created a gem of a picture.

A beautiful entry of the two butterfly orchids in black and white. I like how your lighting is focused on the petals and the background is darkened. Great angle and focus showing the tiny details of the orchids vividly. Best of luck in this contest.
