A very nice shot of the flamingo drinking in the lake in Lancashire. Was not aware Flamingoes were in the UK. They are an elegant bird; you have taken a great shot of the head and neck with nice detail with the eye very clear and prominent.

Hi Nik, Love the fact you have the flamingoes neck coming in from the side. You gave this fellow a serpentine look. Love the ripples in the water too! Focus is good but I think you could have made the image a little bit darker. Other than that I enjoyed the shot a lot! :o) Nancy

I like the tone of this, the colors appears muted and gives it a old world feeling. Looks to be in focus and the added water ripple is a nice touch. Thanks for sharing.

Nice close up of this flamingo drinking,taken with a long lens,bit of a close crop with its neck but you still got it in as such,only other thing is there seems to be a slight loss of detail in its plummage in this.....Brian

I like this shot of a flamingo drinking in the lake in focus. The angle really shows its beak and expressive eye, ripple of the water and its curvy neck. Framing placement fits well, with plenty of negative space for this bird to move and breath. Well captured, Nik.
