Powerful! I think I have never seen a large cruise liner up close, this picture shows only a small part of the ship, I can imagine how it would look in full! Wow!!!

This is a magnificent shot of the bow of the Queen Mary. I understand you have sailed on her several times before. Must be a lovely experience. the great angle of your shot shows how magnificent she is.

I very much appreciate your nice review! Happy you enjoyed my photo. The ship in the shot is the original Queen Mary which us Brits built, was retired to Long Beach, California in 1967. I sailed from Southampton, England to New York City, USA in the Queen Mary 2, back in 2018, which was built and launched in England in 2003.

Nik,
A beautiful picture of the bow of the Queen Mary ,now in Long Beach, California where it's a Tourist attraction & a hotel where you can spend the night on board. That for myself brought back memories of returning to England after the War on the White Star Liner the MV Maurentaina. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

Hi Nikman, your shot puts the gigantic size of the Queen Mary into perspective. It's huge but small compared to some more modern ships. Focus is excellent, I can see every rivet. Good colour, texture, clarity and composition. Thanks for sharing and congratulations on doing the route 66 tour :-)

I very much appreciate your detailed review and big 6! It was a great trip across two thirds of the USA.

That is big..I live 20 miles from a port that has all this big name Cruise ships. They are big. Me personally I have no desire to be on one. Nice capture. The clarity is good. The capture of the light is good. The angle of the Queen mary's bow is good. The presentation is balanced and eye interesting to the viewer. Good eye and good job overall

Very many thanks for your kind and comprehensive review! Back in 2018, I sailed across the Atlantic, from Southampton, England to New York City, USA, It took a week and I had a great time!

Thanks for sharing this huge bow of the Queen Mary 1 cruise liner, Nik. I also like the informative artist notes that this is in Long Beach, California. Those flowers are lovely. You have chronicled and captured your tour well.
