Looks like you are going for Zinnias and butterflies these days, and even if the butterfly's wing is a bit damaged it still looks lovely sitting out the pretty pink flower. They are standing out so well from the light green background.
The photo is sharp with clear and well defined details, and the exposure is very good.
The photo is also nicely cropped, and the butterfly and flower are well placed within the frame. It is a lovely and well taken photo Nieves, and with an excellent DOF.

Thanks, Sweet Annie. Zinnias are really blooming in Summer. The water lilies and lotus were gone. I was pretty surprised this year we have water lilies blooming as early as April because it is already hot.
Ordinarity, they bloomed by June.

You are more than welcome Nieves.

Your on a roll with the butterfly photos which are stunning. This one looks like it has a slightly tattered wing and the coloring and detail are captured with clarity. Sharp focus on body of butterfly and composition is great.

Hi Mary. Nice seeing your name. Yup, they're the only one who loves the bright and hot Summer day in the South.
Thank you.

We are just coming into spring so warming up a little. I have been struggling with coming to terms with loss and also preparing to go to Tokyo at end of September to visit our son and family. Stay cool I personally can't cope with the very hot weather when it gets past 32c I am inside with aircon.

Sending hugs. It is my prayer that your visit to Tokyo with your son and family will over-balance the sadness of losing your husband. I hope that you can take a lot of shots with the coming of Spring. Me, too. I generally did not travel anymore this Summer. It is more of a torture rather than a vacation. Climate changed. This time I insist to postponed all travel plans starting October. By the way, just in case you still have time review, my Velvet Antlers only needs (1) review to be Recognized. It also pays. It might be in the second page of the FEATURED and it is a deer. No impose if you are already resting. Anyway, thank you once again.

Wow - factor is definitely in play on this one. This is one of the most perfect butterfly shots I have seen in a long time. Your demonstrated mastery in photography is beyond evident in this shot. Tact Sharp - perfect DOF and color. The detail on both butterfly and flowering bloom is wonderful. Phenomenal shot - congratulations.

Hi Nieves, Love the way your butterfly stands out against the background. All the edges are sharp and display the butterfly and zinnia beautifully! I think the soft green colors of the background actually enhance the view! Love the lighting as well because it highlights the butterfly very nicely! Presentation is very nice! Great Job on all counts! Enjoy my last six! :o) Nancy

Nieves nice job. This Swallow tail getting ready to sip the nectar of the zinnia is a Nieves, wonderful capture. This must be so much fun playing musical flowers. when Nieves comes by the music stops and all the butterflies grab a blossom. So nice. Ray

Nieves,
A beautiful picture of the male American Black Swallowtail Butterfly sucking nectar from the Pink Zinna flower standing out clearly from the blurred green background. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

A lovely photograph of this swallowtail butterfly on the zinnia. A friend told me that butterflies need the sun for energy to fly which may explain why they are not bothered by the heat. The background is perfect showing the butterfly well.

Thanks for this authentic review direct from the heart. Yes, butterflies will only show up when the sun is up and in the most harsh and bright moment. Sun-lover.
Thanks once again, Michelle.

Great photo!!! Very clear, you can see a lot of details! The composition itself is great. The fragile wings of the butterfly, the delicate pink flower, it's all amazing!
