Could also have been used for a story to tell contest, that aside clever that you thought of putting corn down,i like this think maybe if you had got a tad lower an even better shot could be had...Brian

You might be right about that; I was crouched down and this one didn’t really give me a lot of time to prepare-lol-plus there was a lot of *crap* in the yard!

It was a well-conceived and captured shot. It's pretty fascinating! You framed it well, and the light, shadows, colours, and composition worked well. Good luck!

A good looking image posted here into the competition, with appropriate notes too! Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us a very enjoyable view of that amusing scene. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well done and good luck!

I have to give you a six here, for your creativity in setting up this scene, Also you have taken the photo of the fawn with great clarity and detail; Focus is great and very pleasing to the eye. Good luck i the contest

This is a beautiful picture of the book and a real live fawn. I think Walt would love this just as much as I do. I saw the movie when it first came out, memories. Thank you for sharing your beauty and the best of luck in the contest. Ray

Very sneaky move to get your shot, but it definitely got the desired results! LOL How cute t see a fawn appearing that he's reading Bambi! Out of the box thinking with wonderful results! The fawn is super cute too! Love how you thought this up and presented it. This is the last thing I expected to see in this contest! Love the lighting focus and everything else about this image! Good Luck in the Contest! :o) Nancy

Thanks for such a fantastic review, have to admit I thought it might take a few tries before they were comfortable with the book, but no, this one didn’t seem bothered by it at all-lol! Thank you also for the extra star and well wishes!

Great job and exactly what I was wanting for the contest challenge. Coming up with something fun and different to shoot. Of course, technically everything, focus, composition etc. are spot on as well as no distractions from the subjects. Not to mention it is adorable :) Thanks for entering.

Dumping corn inside into the grass and inside the open book is a genius idea. This is a cute scene and a great entry. I like the story per artist notes. Love the lush blue green background and your angle and focus really captured the facial feature of this young deer prominently. An image with a story to tell.

Thanks so much, I figured the corn would draw them in, but I was surprised that the presence of the book was so readily accepted.

A very sweet and endearing visual presented here of this young deer. Composition, shades, tones, colours and background are presented very well. Thank you for sharing.
