Your grandma was a beautiful woman and you were so fortunate to have her in your life.
This is such a wonderful way to honor her memory.
Very well drawn , I love the kind expression on her face and the way you have posed her with her arms folded in front as she sits. Well rendered and presented! I'm so sorry for your loss.

Grandmas give us the foundation of who we are today. I also miss my grandma. Even ten years later. Nothing equals the dedication and devotion to a Grandmother who loves their family. What a great tribute to her. Thank you for sharing!

She looks very kind and understanding. May the Good Lord give her eternal peace and happiness. Om Shanti! Regarding your fine portrayal of your grandma, I suggest you crop all four sides to show only the artwork and repost it with due sharpening. That will make it more impressive.

A touching / loving tribute to your Grandmother. It sounds like she was an incredible influence for all of those in her life. Did you draw this from a photo? The details and scale are well applied. the drawing offers (along with text) a heartwarming story that so many of us can relate to. My mom suffered a massive stroke last year. She is bedridden in a skilled nursing unit. I'm so sorry for your loss. The balloon launch will be a wonderful event to share memories.

Thank you so much!! She was, and yes I did. Again thank you so much! I'm sorry about that, how is she doing now? And it is a wonderful event but my heart is still kinda heavy about it

Hugs to you and yours - My mom was not expected to survive 6 months and was put on Hospice. Hospice recended their care and now she is in PT learning how to feed herself. My dad (who heavily relied on my mom) has finally moved into assisted living. After 14 months (since my moms stroke) I'm finally able to take a breath and re-engage with my passion for photography.

Hugs back to you! I am glad to hear that your mom is doing great! I hope your is doing good as well! That is great thing that you are able to get back to photography!

A pretty poignant tribute to your Grandma. I am so sorry for your loss. Glad that she left values and love that will forever be cherished by your family. I love how you have drawn her face, even her demeanor and facial features. Maybe, when you missed someone you can really draw them well. What a beautiful soul. This portrait deserves to be on your wall. Pretty touching tribute. Hug!

Thank you so much! I gave this to my dad and aunt (her children). They both got this picture hanging up on the wall!
-
WOW! I love the content of your tribute. It made me wish that someday when I'm gone, someone will write those kind of tribute for me. Just a thought.
-
They probably will and thank you!

Hope so.
